Caprock Café opened in September 1997, and quickly became a favorite watering hole for the center of Lubbock. When the United Spirit arena opened in October 1999, Caprock Café became a convenient spot to meet before or after games and events there.On December 1, 2008, Caprock Cafe opened its second location in Rockridge Plaza at 82nd & Slide. This location is Smoke-Free.
In 2009, Caprock Café celebrates 12 years of serving Lubbock’s best char-broiled half-pound burgers and cold draft beer. So cold in fact, Caprock Café won the Lubbock Avalanche Journal’s “Best of Lubbock” contest in 2007 as the “Best Place to Have a Beer!”
